Anyone know? I do know the Pro version has the sound and pic buttons extra and looks different as far as styling. I've also heard the Pro version can support more devices, but I dont know if this is true? Is the software setup and all the same for the Pro as the regular?

Looking for a remote that can control TV/dvd/etc as well as lighting without line of sight and without a complicated interface between IR and Zwave, X10, etc. I think I'm going to have to go with a Harmony 890, but the 15 device limit seems bad for lighting as you'd quickly run out of room when your TV equipment is also added to the list. Any thoughts on the 15 device limit and lighting switches/dimmers - seems too small?

Get the 880 and a good IR repeater. You'll have fewer problems and it's much more flexible since the IR repeater will allow you to use ANY remote without line of sight including the OEM remotes and any other universal remotes.

The biggest difference between the 890 and 890 Pro is multizone capability. The Pro can have 6 rooms or zones (or secondary 890 Pros in any combination up to the total of 6), 6 RF extenders, and 20 (or more) Z-Wave lighting fixtures in the same user account. Note that the Pro does NOT come with the extender unit in the box, it's an optional accessory. The lighting fixtures are considered separate from the 15 device limit.

The Pro also can retain the extender information in its non-volatile memory (you probably need to call tech support to walk you through this). Previously, if you had a power outage, the extender could lose its programming, necessitating a reconnection to the USB cable. Now you can save that data in the remote itself, and just hit 'connect' on the extender to restore it after power loss.

15 devices with at least 40 buttons each I would guess. And here in Europe the 890 pro is called 895 and the extender DOES come with the unit. Also my guess is that 15 devices is just for show. You are probably only hindered by the units available memory. But I don't have one so I don't know for sure.
